MTB tour Croatia

Bright sunshine, deep blue water, a multitude of islands - that's the Croatian Mediterranean coast. Off you go on a mountain bike adventure, overcoming obstacles and testing your limits. Our MTB tour in Croatia takes you over hill and dale, on small roads, nature trails, coastal promenades and old Roman paths, uphill and downhill, with the azure blue sea as your constant companion. The pace is set by the MTB riders; those who want to ride an E-MTB are welcome to do so, but are asked to be considerate. If you wish, you can stay on board the comfortable motor yacht MS Linda.
Our trip "E-bike tour Croatia" takes place at the same time. You have the option of choosing between the MTB tour and the softer e-bike tour every day. And if you have a partner or friend who prefers cycling to biking, you can spend your vacation together on this trip.

Day 1 Arrival Omišalj + crossing Cres
Embarkation between 2 and 2.30 pm, then boat crossing at 3pm to Venetian-influenced Cres.

Day 2 Tour Cres-Martinšćica, 28 km/17 mi, 750 hm/2461 ft
Your first ascent is rewarded with a fantastic view during the descent into the island's interior. You then cycle along natural paths and goat trails towards the boat in Martinšćica. Crossing to Mali Lošinj.

Day 3 Tour Lošinj & Molat, 26+14 km/16+9 mi, 250+210 hm/820+689 ft
Pine forests, agaves and palm trees line the route to tranquil Veli Lošinj in the morning; enjoy magnificent views over land and sea. Then cross over to the flower island of Molat, which you will explore by bike on small asphalt roads in the afternoon.

Day 4 Cycle tour Dugi Otok, 36 km/22 mi, 55 hm/1804 ft
On Dugi Otok you cycle the northern part of the island with great views of the sea, islands and bays. After a swimming break, the boat takes you to the Island of Olib, where you will spent the night.

Day 5 Cycle tour Pag, 34 km/21 mi, 500 hm/1640 ft
First you take a boat trip to Pag, then you explore the rugged, karstic island by bike, some of which is home to ancient olive trees. Fancy a break with some tasty Pag sheep's cheese and olives? After a short crossing to Rab town, you have the opportunity to explore the numerous alleyways of the medieval old town on foot.

Day 6 Cycle tour Rab, 34 km/21 mi, 600 hm/1969 ft
Small but beautiful - that's Rab. A varied biking day on narrow promenades, old Roman paths and trails through the Dundo forest awaits you today. Crossing to the historic island capital of Krk.

Day 7 Cycle tour Krk, 45 km/28 mi, 820 hm/2690 ft
Olive trees, stone walls, vineyards - at the end you cycle a little of the interior of the "golden island" of Krk. In the afternoon, you return to the coast to the muddy bay of Soline and from there to Omišalj. Back on board, your trip ends with a cozy evening.

Day 8 Disembarking and departure
Unfortunately, after breakfast your "MTB tour Croatia" is already over. Disembarkation until 9 am.

Rental bicycles:

• We offer comfortable, full-suspension mountain bikes as fully or fully premium. Full suspension E-MTB's are available on request. Please note that the pace is designed for normal MTB's. If you ride the E-MTB, we ask you to be considerate.
• There is a helmet obligation on the part of the ship agency. We recommend using your own due to the variety of head sizes and shapes and for hygienic reasons. We additionally recommend wearing arm and leg protectors.

The booking process

Arrival "MTB tour Croatia":

• Parking in Omišalj:
  Arrival at harbour at 1 pm, admission to enclosed car park (parking in Omišalj, must be booked together with the trip), embarkation until 2.30 pm. At 3 pm boat crossing to Cres.

• Arrival by train:
  not recommended
  Munich - Rijeka, duration approx. 10.5 h, 3 changes, bicycles not possible: approx. 120 € p.p.
  Rijeka-Omišalj by bus (departure from bus station), duration approx. 45 min: approx. 6 € p.p.

• Arrival Rijeka Airport (approx. 26 km)

Collective transfer

Personal MTB:
In principle, you can bring your own bike along. However, please note that your bike will be loaded on and off the boat twice a day along with several others and therefore slight cosmetic damage to individual bikes cannot be ruled out, which is why we do not take responsibility or liability for such damage. We recommend reserving one the excellent rental bikes we offer.

Personal e-bikes:
Unfortunately, it is not possible to bring your own e-bike.

During your tour, we are available between 8 am and 8 pm, 7 days a week. We are happy to help with any kind of problems you might be having. You will find this emergency number in your travel documents.
