Day 1 Arrival in Enkhuizen
Check-in until 2 pm, then we sail across the IJsselmeer to Stavoren in Friesland.

Day 2 Stavoren - Makkum, 32-49 km/20-31 mi
The first tour leads through idyllic villages to Makkum with an important earthenware factory and a well-known shipyard for superyachts.

Day 3 Makkum - Terschelling, boat trip
The crossing to Terschelling takes four hours, then you can enjoy the island by bike, on foot or on the beach.

Day 4 Leeuwarden, boat trip, 35-45 km/22-28 mi
Back on the mainland, you cycle inland to the Frisian capital Leeuwarden, which was European Capital of Culture in 2018. You can spend the evening in one of the many cozy restaurants.

Day 5 Leeuwarden - Grou, boat trip, 40-50 km/25-31 mi
Today you cycle through De Alde Feanen National Park. The Frisian village of Grou is known as a water sports centre.

Day 6 Grou - Sneek, 30-45 km/19-28 mi
Flat, green and lots of sheep - today's stage is typically Frisian. The water gate, a remnant of the town fortifications, is Sneek's landmark.

Day 7 Sneek - Stavoren - Enkhuizen, 38-48 km/24-29 mi
The village of Heeg was a centre of the eel trade that reached as far as London. In Stavoren you board your ship again for the return trip across the IJsselmeer.

Day 8 Tag Departure
After breakfast your tour by boat and bike in Friesland comes to an end.

Rental bicycles:

• We offer comfortable unisex-bikes with 7-speed gearboxes/freewheel, equipped with a bike bag and a bike lock. We also offer e-bikes if desired.
• If you choose to wear a helmet, we recommend using your own due to the variety of head sizes and shapes and for hygienic reasons.

The booking process

Arrival for "Boat & Bike in Friesland":

• Parking in Enkhuizen:
  Free parking at Enkhuizen railway station, situated right next to the harbour. Reservations not possible. 

• Arrival by train:
  Enkhuizen train station

• Arrival by plane:
  Schiphol Airport, take the train to Enkhuizen, duration approx. 70 min, 1 x changes, standard fare approx. 15 €.

Personal bikes:
In principle, you can bring your own bike along. However, please note that your bike will be loaded on and off the boat twice a day along with several others and therefore slight cosmetic damage to individual bikes cannot be ruled out, which is why we do not take responsibility or liability for such damage. We recommend reserving one the excellent rental bikes we offer.

Perfectly looked after:
During your tour, we are available between 8 am and 8 pm, 7 days a week. We are happy to help with any kind of problems you might be having. You will find this emergency number in your travel documents.
