Stralsund - Berlin by boat & bike

The German capital and Berlin’s „bathtub“ await you on this tour, as well as the sparsely populated woods along the Finow canal and the river Oder, the Szczecin Lagoon, the island of Rügen in the Baltic Sea and finally the old Hanseatic city Stralsund. Day 1 Arrival in Stralsund
Embarkation from 4 pm, there will be time for a stroll through the impressive city.

Day 2 Stralsund - Lauterbach, 48 km/30 mi + boat trip
You will reach the famous island via the Rügen causeway, the small town Putbus is worth a visit. Followed by an boat trip to the island of Usedom.

Day 3 Peenemünde - Wolgast, 15-25 km/9-16 mi
The World War II rocket research facility in Peenemünde has been transformed into an exciting history and science museum.Wolgast has a beautiful historic town centre.

Day 4 Boat trip Wolgast - Szczecin
Today you can look forward to a great boat journey. You will sail across the Szczecin Lagoon to Szczecin, the green city on the Baltic Sea.

Day 5 Mescherin - Schwedt, 28 km/17 mi + boat trip
Your boat will take you out of the big city. Later in the day you will go on a cycle tour through the national park Unteres Odertal.

Day 6 Hohensaaten - Eberswalde, 33 km/21 mi + boat trip
You will reach Hohensaaten by boat. The Finow canal will take you to the Niederfinow ship lift and to Germany’s oldest locks in Eberswalde.

Day 7 Oranienburg - Berlin, 42 km/26 mi + boat trip
From Oranienburg, which is home to an important Baroque castle, you cycle through the Ruppiner lake district to Berlin.

Day 8 Departure
After breakfast your tour from Stralsund to Berlin by boat & bike ends. Disembarkation until 9.00 am.

• If you choose to wear a helmet, we recommend using your own due to the variety of head sizes and shapes and for hygienic reasons.

The booking process

Arrival to "Stralsund - Berlin by boat & bike":

• Parking in Stralsund:
  Numerous car parks close to the boat terminal, cost approx. 60-90 €/week.

• Arrival by train:
  Stralsund station

• Arrival airport Berlin-Tegel:
  Bus TXL - Berlin Hbf (main station) - Stralsund Hbf (main station), change trains 1 x, duration approx. 4 h, standard fare approx. 35 €.

Return transfer:

• Under your own steam by train, duration approx. 3 hours, no train changes from/to central station,
  normal fare approx. 26 €

Personal bikes:
In principle, you can bring your own bike along. However, the number of guest bikes is limited. Please note that your bike will be loaded on and off the boat twice a day along with several others and therefore slight cosmetic damage to individual bikes cannot be ruled out, which is why we do not take responsibility or liability for such damage. We recommend reserving one the excellent rental bikes we offer.

Perfectly looked after:
During your tour, we are available between 8 am and 8 pm, 7 days a week. We are happy to help with any kind of problems you might be having. You will find this emergency number in your travel documents.
