Boat & Bike on the Ionian Islands

The Ionian Islands lie off the west coast of Greece, are surprisingly green and have a charm all of their own due to their long affiliation with the Republic of Venice. Island hopping is truly the right term for this cycling vacation, as 6 islands from Ithaca to Paxos are on your tour. The UNESCO city of Corfu is the starting and ending point of your journey, which is characterized by many vineyards, olive groves, blue water and great beaches. For this bike & boat tour on the Ionian Islands, you should bring some fitness with you.
The pace is set by the trekking cyclists; those who want to ride an e-bike are welcome to do so, but are asked to be considerate. If you wish, you can stay on board the motor sailing boat MS Panagiota.

Day 1 Arrival Corfu City
Embarkation from 14:00 and time to explore the pastel-colored, Venetian old town, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Day 2 Cycle tour Sivota - Parga, approx. 28 km/17 mi
Crossing to the mainland during breakfast. This is followed by the first cycle tour to the harbor town of Parga, picturesquely situated below the Venetian fortress, with a picturesque promenade right by the sea. Crossing to the island of Lefkas.

Day 3 Cycle tour Lefkas island, approx. 35 km/22 mi
Cycle past the Nydri waterfall through olive groves, cypresses and pine trees line the route. Via Syvros with its many springs and watermills, you cycle to Sivota, from where the boat takes you to the lively town of Fiskado.

Day 4 Cycle tour Kefalonia island, approx. 39 km/24 mi
A crisp uphill ride along the steep coast with wonderful views of the Assos peninsula and the famous Myrtos beach. You will visit the Melissani stalactite cave in rowing boats. Crossing to Vathy.

Day 5 Cycle tour Ithaca island, approx. 20-28 km/13-17 mi
Ithaca, the mystical home island of Odysseus, is characterized by vineyards, lemon and olive groves. Today you have two options - either cycle all the way up the mountain stage or opt for the panoramic road halfway up. Either way, there are gnarled olive trees and azure blue sea to marvel at. Day 6 Cycle tour Meganisi island, approx. 17 km/11 mi
Today you will experience typical Greek island flair. You cycle along lonely roads to the beach of Sportochori. Enjoy a swimming break before continuing by boat to Gaios, where you can end the evening in a cozy taverna.

Day 7 Cycle tour Paxos island, approx.  23 km/14 mi
Cycle through silver-green olive groves around the smallest of the Ionian Islands. The numerous small beaches in the east offer the opportunity for a swim before the ship sails to Corfu.

Day 8 Disembarking and departure

Personal bikes:
In principle, you can bring your own bike along. However, please note that your bike will be loaded on and off the boat twice a day along with several others and therefore slight cosmetic damage to individual bikes cannot be ruled out, which is why we do not take responsibility or liability for such damage. We recommend reserving one the excellent rental bikes we offer.

Private e-bikes:
Unfortunately, it is not possible to bring your private e-bikes.

During your tour, we are available between 8 am and 8 pm, 7 days a week. We are happy to help with any kind of problems you might be having. You will find this emergency number in your travel documents.
